What we actually do

Bali Devine is a home massage service, not a spa building. There is no waiting room and no reception desk. You message us, we assign a therapist near your address, and that therapist brings everything needed for the treatment you chose.

The menu covers Balinese massage, aromatherapy, deep tissue, hot stone, reflexology, body scrubs, facials, four hand and couples treatments. Every therapist works from the same list at the same price, so the session you read about on the services page is the session you get, whoever shows up at the door.

Most guests book for one of three reasons: they have just landed and do not want to sit in traffic, they are travelling with children and cannot leave the villa, or they simply prefer to finish a massage and go straight to bed.

Why we work at your address, not in town

A spa visit in Bali usually costs more time than the massage itself. Forty minutes to Seminyak, forty minutes back, and a session that ends while you are still half asleep. Doing the treatment at your villa removes the trip.

It also changes what the therapist can do. In your own room there is no one waiting for the table, so a 90 minute session really is 90 minutes of hands-on work. You can shower before, stay in your robe after, and keep the air conditioning the way you like it.

How the team is set up

Our therapists are Indonesian and live across the south of the island. Bookings are assigned by area, which keeps travel short and start times reliable. If two guests want a couples massage, we send two therapists who arrive together and finish together.

Female guests can request a female therapist and male guests can request a male therapist. Say so when you book, because it changes who we assign and it is easier to arrange a day ahead than an hour before.

What we ask of every therapist

• Training first. Balinese massage and reflexology are checked in person before a therapist is sent to a guest.
• Arrive early. Ten to fifteen minutes before the start time, with the table set up before the appointment begins.
• Ask about pressure. Once at the start and once halfway through. Nobody should leave sore for two days because they were too polite to say something.
• No upselling. The treatment you booked is the treatment you get. Extra services are never offered in the room.
• Leave the room as found. Table folded, linens bagged, bottles taken away, furniture back where it started.
• Speak enough English to run the booking. Enough to confirm pressure, problem areas and a medical condition before starting.

Cleanliness and equipment

Linens are changed for every guest and washed after each shift. Oils are decanted into small bottles that are refilled rather than reused between guests. Tables and face cradles are wiped down before and after each session.

If you would rather use your own towels or your own oil, that is fine. Tell the therapist when they arrive. Guests with sensitive skin, a nut allergy or a fragrance reaction should mention it at booking so we can bring the right bottle.

What a booking looks like

1. You send the details

   Date, time, area, number of guests and the treatment. A location pin is more useful than a street name.

2. We confirm in writing

   Therapist name, arrival window and the total price. That written total is what you pay at the end.

3. The therapist sets up

   Table, linens, oils and music if you want it. Setup takes about fifteen minutes and happens before your start time.

4. Treatment, then payment

   Cash in IDR or a bank transfer. There is no deposit for standard bookings and no service charge added afterwards.

Therapists cover the south of Bali most days. If you are staying further out, ask before you book and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you.

What you can check before you pay

Three things are confirmed in writing at booking, so there is nothing to argue about later:

• The full price, including any transport fee for Ubud, Uluwatu or Amed.
• The therapist's name and the arrival window.
• The treatment and duration, in minutes.

If the therapist arrives late through our fault, the session still runs the full booked time or the price is reduced. If something is not right during the treatment, say so then. Adjusting pressure mid-session is normal and nobody on our team takes it personally.
